June 1991
Hasrat Meranti Sdn Bhd (HM) was incorporated to manufacture multiwall industrial paper sacks, mainly cement paper bags.

1992
Commenced operations at a factory on a 3.5 acre site in Kanthan Industrial Estate at Chemor, Perak. Perak Hanjoong Simen Sdn Bhd, one of the major cement producers in Malaysia, was a major customer of HM then.

1999
HM expanded export sales to Bangladesh, Brunei and Hong Kong

2002
HM’s factory located in Kanthan Industrial Estate, Chemor was severely damaged during a fire.

2003
Kanthan factory was re-constructed and resumed operations.

2005
Accredited withISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.

2010
Acquisition of another factory in Kanthan Industrial Estate and invested in up-to-date machinery and equipment.

2012
Hasrat Meranti (Tapah) Sdn Bhd (HM Tapah), a wholly-owned subsidiary of HM, was set up to facilitate the expansion of the production of cement bags.

2013
• The new plant in TapahRoad, Perakwith state-of-the art machine started operation.
• HM launched a new logo and tagline
• Hasrat Meranti (Chemor) Sdn Bhd (HM Chemor) became a wholly-owned subsidiary of HM, to undertake the production of non-cement paper bags.

Invested in state-of-the art machine for capacity expansion and plant modernisation

2018
Official opening of new plant and state-of-the-art industrial paper sack line in Tapah by Perak’s Committee Chairman for Investment, Industry and Corridor Development, and State Executive Council Member, Dato’ Seri Ir. Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.
